Profecia, Colombian Death Metal band that began at the end of 1998, integrated by Oscar (Drums), John Dilmer (Vocals), Albert (Guitar) and Elkin (Bass). Some Underground presentations were made to make the band known in the metal scene of Colombia.
After making some presentations, the bassist, Elkin leaves the band and began the search for a new member. Edison was contacted, which fit the band quite well and began to give a new air at that time.
In June of 2002 they began to record the work ? Demo Esclavos de la Fe, in which 7 songs were chosen from 11 songs that were recorded, in which Oscar (Drums), John Dilmer (Vocals), Albert (Guitar) and Edison (bass) participated.
Then it was needed to give more weight to the band and that is why a new member was included, in this case Mario Aponte (Mannithou) was contacted on the bass and therefore Edison went on to play the guitar.
Presentations were made with this new lineup in Medellín, Bogota, Bello and Marinilla.
In 2004, due to different commitments that Mario had, he retires from the group and was replaced by Jorge.
In 2008, the work Campos de Sangre is launched.
Profecia has shared the stage with bands like Witchtrap, Pagan Fears, Maleficarum, Bless the Silence, Revenge, Danger, Herpes, Dirges, Degradeath, Nightmare, Aphangak, Abdominal, Defender, among others.
